rocker panel dent. opinions needed
I bought my car with this dent on the rocker panel on the passanger side.
its on the rocker directly below the mirror
heres a picture
whats everyone think about what procedure to repair this? also im wondering because some of the dent extends to below the rocker, underneath where the pinch metal is, and theres that thick rough paint under there as well that looks realy orange - peeley. would they respray that stuff too?

Yes, you'll have to respray that rock guard as well. I hate that stuff, it never matches the factory texture, I have some tricks to get it closer.
1. remove paint with in the dent, 2. stud gun and a slide hammer 3. Filler and smooth 4 rock guard and paint.
It's a really simple repair, but the rock guard can be a big PITA.

i had one about a foot further back,.....the body shop told me it was gonna cost 500 to fix..........weld some metal over it, sand, repaint, clear.
ended up not getting it fixed,.......the 500 was better off in my pocket. lucky for me someone else scraped me in a parking lot and then i got it all taken care of at once.
