Removing rust in a rock chip?
When I bought my car earlier this year it had a pretty bad rock chip that had actually rusted in the middle of it. Does anyone know the best way to remove this rust? Reading all the rock chip touch up guides makes me think I should be able to use some sandpaper (1500-3000 grit) to get the rust out of there. Any one with experience have a better way of going about this?

The easiest way is to use a new razor blade. Scrape it against the surface, do not "cut" at the surface. This will remove the top layer of rust and is much more manageable than sandpaper on a small chip.
Then get a rust preventer/eliminator and apply that. Then your BB touch up paint

Use a fiber pen to clean it out then some isopropyl alcohol to clean the spot and surrounding area, use a preventer/converter applied with a fine brush and finally some touch up paint. You can get a fiber pen at paint shops and even at harbor freight.
