Default Removing decals on car

Is there anything that I can spray on the decal to loosen the adhesive. Something that wont damage the paint of course. Thank you.

Buy a heat gun at pep boys for $20. Lightly heating it will make it more pliable.

I'd suggest moving to an adhesive remover (Goo Gone or even WD40 or even good old orange oil) before paint thinner.

I agree, formerly worked at a sign shop for 5 years.
The heat gun and Goo Gone are the best. Also if you
are havibng trouble getting the vinyl loose, use a
plastic razor blade (not too rough on the paint)

After you get the vinyl and adhesive off, just go
behind that with some rubbing alcohol to clean off
any residue left behind. Then follow up with a small
wax job to bring back the shine.

Keep in mind this though, depending on how long the
decal has been on, there might be some fading.
This is more noticeable on darker colors, so you
might see some shadows left behind.

Later !!!
