Question about wet sanding
I'm going to attempt touching up some minor rock chips in the front bumper in my S. It seems a couple other forums say to not wet sand ANY metallic paint after you fill in the touch up. Is there any merit to this? Anyone have any first hand experience?

If you are just doing rock chip touch up paint and you fill it in just inside the chip you should leave it alone.
Some recommend touch up the wet sanding to keep it flush with the surface, that's only if it gets outside the chip.
If for instance you have a front bumper that is peppered you can either do a "squeegee" method to fill in the peppering, then a solvent sand. Finally you can wet sand a buff it all to ensure a level and smooth, clean repair.
