That's a helpful DIY if you want to try and tackle it.
I have done it twice before. The first time around was a major PITA. I decided to break them down completely since there are rubber parts hidden by metal pieces. Specifically the e-brake pin. It gets coated with lube after the rebuild and is coated from the factory. Once that stuff cooks in the oven, it turns to crud.
The hardest part is getting the seal to seat correctly around the piston. compressed air is your friend and you will get it done alot quicker.

Ahh yeah you can't bake the seals, you will have to tear break the calipers down. So I agree if you dont want to do this, dont powdercoat them, just paint em.

thanks guys, this has been very helpful, so I definitely won't pc them, I'll stick with the paint and just keep touching them up as they chip, lol. Much appreciated
