Default Passenger Door Repair (HELP)

Hey guys. First off would like to appreciate the knowledge and input of all the members of this forum. I have been following this forum for a few years now just never decided to make an account.

Alright, so I have an issue . Last year I had a slight accident and hit the middle of the passenger door. The dent is about the size of my hand in length . It looks like a slash. I was to busy to take care of it on time and now Im looking at rust .

My Options:

Repair as is ?

fix dent, sand down and repaint original ?

OR

I have an option to buy another door (mint condition) for $150. No panels (which I do not need) . the catch ? the door is white. My s2000 is black.

Also ! His door is from an '03 mine is a 05.

What should I do ? What is more reasonable financially ?

It depends on who does the work swapping the new door onto the car, you or the body shop. Also a new door would require paint blending onto the adjacent fender, quarter panel, and rocker unless you could get lucky and find a new door already the same color and roughly same age/weathering as your old one. The body shop you choose would be able to tell you how much blending would need to be done if your old door is repaired.
