Default Need to paint oem hardtop, need help

I have a new oem hardtop in black, need to have it painted silver, has anyone took apart the rubber seals, or back glass out, how did it go. looks like the only way to paint it correct is to take it apart.

Yeah, what's your location... if you're in Southern California I'll get you hooked up on a paint job for your hard top.

How much would a decent hardtop paint job to cost? I'm looking at possibly turning a Synchro into either black or Silverstone.

I paid $400 to have my oem top painted. They removed the glass to do it. I was a little nervous but it turned out great

I paid $400 also to take mine from black to sebring silver. We removed the two metal side mouldings, two rubber weatherstripping sections, two metal retainers. They are pretty easy to remove, just don't lose the bolts , screws and pushpins. Upon reinstall you need to use some sealant on the parts to keep them weathertight. To get the metal mouldings off and on you need to use a deep 8mm socket to get the two nuts off the inside connection points. We didn't remove the glass on mine we just taped it off, worked fine.
