Default Molded skirts friggin' SUCK!

My 2002 S came with some cwest skirts that have been molded into
The door jambs.
Is this going to be fixable at a body shop??
The skirts arent overly ricey but I still would like to have the oem
Look.

Anybody have experience dealing with this??

Unless they weren't fiber glassed and was just bondo'ed it shouldn't be to bad to remove them. Anything with fiber glass is another story. Most of the time shops just dab some body filler over them and and paint.

Yes a lot of shops just bolt them on, then put body filler over the cracks (which isn't the right way to do it though). If they are fiberglassed, be prepared for a high bill. Its going to to be a pain in the @ss i'll tell you that.

No they were screwed on and then painted. Are there stock skirts I'll have to buy again or are they under there.

Ahh okay, well it shouldnt be to hard for a body shop to do. They still might have to re-spray some areas they smooth down after taking them off. There are no stock side skirts or anything, once you take those off, thats it.

Cool, I'll take some pictures and keep you guys updated on how the removal goes.
I just bought a stock hood and front bumper to replace the cwest front and vented hood that it came with.
Hoping to do everything this next week.

Now what to do with all this aftermarket stuff.
Think anybody will want it?

Cool man, let us know how it goes. This could potentially help sombody if they are in the same situation as you are.

Yeah man the classifieds section on s2ki is one of the fastest moving places on this site. I'm sure if you didnt want to much for them people would take them off your hands for you. Also just so you know, you can't sell anything on this site unless you are a member. If you pay the $20 fee, you have access to different parts of the site, and you have permission to sell your items on here.
