I think most of the time insurance companys pay a % of the repair cost as the devaluation amount. Its small too, like 10% or less. Insurance companys suck.

Yeah, I'll tell you what sucks.. the car that started the entire chain of events by hitting the accord and knocking her over the median fled the scene. That means instead of someone else's insurance paying for everything, it all goes no-fault. That means I have to use mine and pay my deductible even though i'm not at fault...

Anyone have any advice?

any traffic cameras/other witnesses? try local businesses/atm/traffic cams in the area to see if you can get pic of the car..

Finally got the car in the shop, turns out the bill is $1330.
New front bumper, lip and fender liner. The lip costs $165
more than the front bumper, isn't that crazy?


Looks great now!
