Default I must be lucky...

So, while driving to get some food on my lunch break, a girl driving an accord coming from the opposite direction jumps the median and hits the ranger infront of me, and the tacoma next to me. Both are totaled for sure. Me, I got smacked by her rear bumper flying off and snaps my oem lip in half and scuffs up my front bumper.
Anyone on bears ave in tampa around 7pm, that was the cause of the huge traffic jam.

So, my car is pretty much ok. The only car out of 4 not totaled. The fender liner is not fully attached on the side of the impact as well. The question now is do I replace the oem lip or is there a better alternative? What is a good aftermarket lip? Any bad lips to avoid?

Thanks.

I must be the only one who prefers the AP1 bumper... Thanks for the responses.
I'll stay OEM.

Get rid of that plate holder on your bumper ASAP! Anyway... Your front bumper will need a fix and repaint. Insurance will pay for a new OEM lip and the body work. Now is the time to add a little money of your own and get that aftermarket bumper you been thinkin about in the back of your mind. Something like...
this
or this

I must be the only one on the forum that likes the AP1 bumper...
Thanks for the advice, I was thinking maybe have them repaint the hood and fenders at the same time to get rid of all the chips from being a dd.

Whatever bumper/lip you go with, this would be an excellent time to repaint your hood and fenders. The shop will be able to blend the new paint with the old so the fade in the OEM paint won't show as bad as it would if you just threw a fresh painted bumper on it. The cost will go up though. They will have to mask the entire car and do more prep in addition to the cost of a little more paint.

Most importantly you must!! must!!! get the insurance company to pay for the difference in market value and what your car will now have for being in an accident. A bit of time and argument can net a a few dollars to a few $K! It depends on real world value depreciation. Its called accident depreciation of resale value.
