Took a shot on ordering NFR from oem.thing, if it's too far off I'll just get it repainted, only $20 more than the unpainted one.

I just got my NFR from Oem.thing. Put it on today. Color is 100% on point.

I was worried about getting one for mine, as apparently the red and white can be a bit off. What does he mean in his ad about a gap with the red and white?

A gap between finishes, I'm guessing. The seller did warn me that she thought the NFR might be a bit dark. Turns out it was spot on.

My theory is that freshly painted NFR might look dark relative to old, faded, unpolished NFR. I recently did a full detail on mine. I think if I put the spoiler on pre-detail it might have been off just a touch.
