Default door blended

after looking at my car today and this picture a bunch of times i have noticed it looks like whoever painted my fender prior to me buying the car blended the fender to the door, im wondering if i could polish or wetsand this area (they didnt do the whole door) to bring it back to original.

the reason i ask is i bought a used fender that matches the car but looks funny next to that blended, darker area.

If it doesn't match I would think it is not blended..

I mean you can go with aftermarket fenders, the only disadvantage I see would be safety because they are fiberglass or CF and not metal. Personally it sounds like you just lowered it too much but I guess damage is done now. You can get Seibon fenders which are a tad bit wider than stock and are not too expensive.

my other thought was to pull flare my oem fenders since they need the paint work anyway..

its mainly just the fender, it looks to me like the door is the same shade as the fender for about 3-4 inches and is then "blended" into the factory paint

yeah i think so too.

ive decided im going to piece together a new front end and get it all painted.

only thing is if the passenger side door is blended to the fender, im gonna have to get that resprayed too! damn.

you should just wait until you have all the body parts you want and respray the whole car at once... It won't be much more than doing both fenders/hood/bumper/part of the doors
