Default same issue but at the top

I had my 5 year old Robbins top come unglued at the top. I made the same repair but it was not easy to get too. I thought about contacting Robbins but the thought of doing the roof again was not pleasant. It was a lot of prep to get ready for the repair but so far it is holding.
My car is always in the garage but with the South TX heat it's a challenge.
I used these suction cup clamps to secure the repair over night.

bullshit like this. I had a clogged rain channel in conjunction with this defect and my interior needed to be dried out.
I hope they suggest going back to my installer and covering whatever minor costs are involved to have him seal it up properly.
Otherwise I'll just do it myself but really if they give a lifetime warranty on it and claim it to be some special bond...they need to
back it up and make it right.
My Robbins top began separating from the glass on the inside a few months after I had it installed. No water was coming into the car. I contacted them and my installer. After sending pictures to Robbins they immediately shipped out a new top. Went back to the same installer - top was replaced under warranty. No cost to me on parts or labor. Robbins reimbursed the installer for his labor.

If I had to choose over again I'm not sure I would go with Robbins over OEM. My original top lasted 14 years before it started to tear, don't have much faith the Robbins will have that longevity. That said, the Robbins top is hands down the better looking of the two.

Well, I ended up having my installer take care of it the first time around...but today I discovered the remaining upper area came undone now...
I am glad to hear that they covered labor on having a new one put on but if it's the same product, I'd be worried about it happening again. I wish
I had gone with OEM to begin with...

Now to decide if I'll bother my installer again or just tackle myself. What annoys me is when he fixed it last he removed my tint without asking and
I had to have it redone...hoping to avoid that this time around.

I texted my installer but he didn't respond...maybe he's closed down due to being non-essential.
I may try my hand at fixing it myself. I should have just gone OEM

He texted me back...
he's on that Rona vaca, for now.
I also contacted the email link the BBB for Robbins.
This is bullshit...if they hadn't claimed permalok window shit I would have gone OEM...
for comparison OEM lasted 13 years and Robbins has been on 3.5. Who gives a shit
if the material will last longer if the window is gonna fall out.

Default hot summer is killing my car...

i'm in the same boat... i just bought all the stuff. the glue, gun, primer, and clamps. the outside i'm not really worried about as opening the top a few inches relieves the slack there. but the inside is a pain the ass to get to and such an awkward angle. luckily since only the bottom has separated for me. i hope that i can just apply glue to as much as the surround as i can. hardest part will be getting the window to stay in place i think... wish me luck..
