Bumper rebuild - DIY
I've been backed into more times than I can count...
and the number of cracks and out right holes just kept growing...
(not to mention all the rock chips and lip scrapes )
Last month I finally got around to pulling the bumper and rebuilding it.
and (after letting the paint cure for a month) I got it mounted up today!
I forgot how much I like this bumper!

here's a sample of the process
cut away all the broke fiberglass (plus grind out any large rock chips) and sand down the hole nice and smooth
fill the resulting gap with fiberglass (from behind )
bodyglaze and wet sand the patch nice and true
Prime and Paint!

Is that flat black on the lip portion? looks great!
A lip protector
I just got tired of all the scraping
--- and yes it's textured and flat.
