I have recently been involved in an accident and now need to get some work done on the car, while taking photos of the damage I noticed that above the rear bumper there are gaps and although I have had the car for sometime have never noticed them. Is there any of the bumper missing or is this how they were finished? I'm not sure as it's fairly clean and really never noticed it when I've cleaned the car over the years!

 

You mean where the lights for the plate are? Yes that is how they are supposed to be.
