Default Is this bad?

i was pretty tired today and in a hurry to leave school when i ended up running over a parking curb . i was parked off to the side of it and didn't notice it. somehow it missed scraping my front bumper so i didn't realize it was there until it was too late.

it damaged the body in front of the jack point and probably pushed it up an inch or so.

is this something i should get fixed immediately or should it just be regarded as a harmless dent?

Do the door and fender have the same gap as the other side of the car?

Is the door opening like it used too?

If yes to both it is probably just a dent that will only bug you when you wanna jack the car up. As long as the door wasn't tweaked you should be ok leaving it alone.
Be careful our cars scrape without running over a curb

definitely doesn't seem like it hurt the structural integrity of the driver side... door closes fine etc and i don't see anything visually askew besides the lower sill being pushed up an inch; car tracks as straight as it did before as well.

if i didn't have lowering springs it would've only been a small scrape

just sounds like you bent in your rocker panel. No real harm except cosmetic damages.
