Default Any issues with NFR / New Formula Red paint?

For those of you that have NFR S2000's --- have you had any issues with the paint?

Any fading? Clearcoat issues?

I had a much older red car that had oxidization issues, and basically just did not last very well compared to identical cars with metallic paints.

I love the look of NFR - just wondering how well it lasts?

Thanks!!

The trick to red vehicles is wax and keeping them out of the sun. If you don't have a garage, at least get a car cover.

I've had some paint work done on my 04 last year. Two different professional painters said that red's fade the fastest out of all other colors.
I have about 48k on my car and I can tell the mirrors are slightly starting to fade.
I have a pretty good eye and I know my front and rear bumpers are a little bit different in color due to them being repainted by a previous owner.

That's a really good point that I wish I had mentioned. Make sure that they use proper R510. Don't let them mix it for you at the shop. Make them go out and buy a pint of the right stuff. I had insurance work done on the rear deck and trunk and it had an orange tint. I'm having both repainted in the next few weeks when I take my Mugen 3-piece spoiler to the body shop for installation.
Only in certain light is it noticeable. Much more when I wear my polarized sunglasses. I'm kind of over it since I'm the only one who will ever notice such things. Planning to do a nice spring detail and roll with it. Can't see the paint when I'm driving it!

10 years now, garage/car port kept and yes the hood is fading now. 130,000 miles and it spent most of its life out of the sun waxed about 2 to 3 times a year. It's time for a dent repair and new paint.

My NFR S lives outside ever since I got it about a year and a half ago. I just do the normal upkeep with the paint, wash and of course keep wax on it. Havent noticed any color fading other then the tops of the mirrors occasionally that I always fight with to polish up and keep shining. I think the previous owner had it garaged most of its life so hopefully it doesnt start fading on me now

NFR has tint in the clear which can fade if it is left out or not maintained.
