sound system recommendations for northern colorado
does anyone have experience with a solid sound expert in northern colorado? i will be needing help with an amp and subwoofer design and install over the next few months or so. i'd like someone who is very knowledgable with both the technology as well as the installation side.
fullthrottle, you've got nothing to worry about. i'm not looking to piss off my neighbors.

I have a few old (but DAMN good) JL 12W6's. I plan on adding a single sub in this summer. I just did the rear speaker install tonight. I bought a pair of Kenwood 5 1/4's from Cartoys and cut a hole using a dremel. Sounds absolutely fantastic.
Now time for the sub. I have done all of my install in previous vehicles, but the problem i am having with the S2K is a custom sub box. The other cars just needed a box in the trunk.
Maybe during out May 5th meet we can discuss doing our own installs.

I doubt if I had the chance I would do mine the same way. The sound is great but it takes all of the utility (what little there is) away from the car. Jeff's car has a amall Boston sub in his that comes out in about 5 seconds and it sounds very good with the stock fronts. Him and I built his amp carriere and wired it in an afternoon. Easy.

I don't care for the stock fronts AT ALL!!! What do you guys recommend that would be easy to swap out and yet is a SUPERIOR speaker that would work well with the stock head? I'm not exactly "Joe Handyman" so any suggestions for install would be welcome!
