License plate required on front of a CO car?
I was looking at the Cinco de Mayo pictures and noticed that none of the cars had front license plates. Is it legal to not affix the front plate in CO? Can someone point me to a DOT web site where the rules are listed?
Thanks.
Thanks.

As far as I know, if your car is registered in CO you have to have front and back plates. But when talking to a Lakewood Police friend of mine, he said that he hardly ever gives a ticket for no front license plate. They have better things to do. However, if the cop is looking for a reason to pull you over, that's reason enough.
I don't have a front license plate because my car's registered in WA.

In CO it is required that you have front and rear plates. Putting the plates on the front windshield is not a alternative also, it has to be bolted on the bumper.
True they might not pull you over for it, but that gives them a reason to pull you over.
Even if they pull me over, it's just a "fix it" ticket anyways.
I don't run a front plate on the S2000.

I took mine off as I was taking a lot of pictures of the car and having to digitally remove it. Now I will run it without the plate for a while and see if I get any trouble. If I get stopped, I am carrying it in the trunk and will tell the police that I was at a car show and will install it when I get home. It does make the car look better . I still see the silver (AC?) canister through the grill. Has anyone painted that? Does it cause any problems?

Yes, front plates are required in Colorado.
As a data point, however, I've lived in CO for 17 years, and have never installed a front plate on any vehicle I've owned. I got one ticket from a meter-maid in Denver, and about 15 years ago, was pulled over on I-70 just after the Eisenhower tunnel for not having a plate.
Of course this is the benefit:
