had some time on my hands sunday and i been lookin at that windshield tape, so...(pho

and after.....
unfortunately i was not one of the lucky ones. the side emblems and windshield tape came of pretty easy and took about an hour total. unfortunately the paint underneath the windshield tape has a significant amount of superficial scratches. you can't see them unless you are in sunlight, but i know they are there. going to a body shop i trust for a consult.

me too! everything i read made me believe the bad paint under the tape was urban legend bs. well, sometimes those legends are based in fact.

the finish rubbed out fine and looks like new.
that was a bit scary, but in the end i think that the tapeless version looks much better with a hardtop.
