Dyno Days

Dyno Days
I have some good friends who work at Matthews Automotive Super Shop in Longmont. They host a dyno day on the first Saturday of every month. They use a Mustang dyno that is capable of loaded testing and even 1/4 mile simulation. It will read lower than a Dynojet/Superflow, but is probably more accurate and more comparable to DynoDynamics and DynaPack. A few dyno runs should be under $50. These guys are EFI 101 and EFI Advanced trained and perform dyno tuning every day. If anybody wants to go, I'd be up for it. I'll probably try to make a few of them.

I would like to see some S2k's on the dyno. I don't think that I want to see my numbers though. Let us know when you are thinking of going. I work most saturdays but would like to make it to see some dyno pulls.

It's not setup for all wheel drive, but I know of a few other dynos that are. For self tuning, Super Rupair's Dyno Dynamics AWD dyno (they're in Boulder) is hands down the best in the Rockies. CarZ Custom also has a Superflow AWD dyno that is good, but not quite as sensitive as I would like for part throttle tuning.

I know this is alittle off topic but, has anyone dynoed their stock s2k up here? How much hp does our car lose from sea level? I think at sea level most S2000s make roughly 200 to the wheels. Just wondering...

expect ~15% loss
dyno's have a standard compnsation for the altitude in the software so the printouts read the same.
on the sportbikes you could notice significant improvement at sea level, likely the same with the s2k
i called, this place is charging $45 for setup & 1 run, starts 8-8:30am 030406
located east of longmont on hwy119
