Default Almost time for a drive up North!

After a GREAT drive last weekend to Bishop's Castle, been thinking it's about time for another drive up north. As of this time, planning on Sunday August 13th as several people have mentioned that date works better for their schedules. Hopefully, it will work for MANY!!

A couple options that I would like to throw out and get some opinions on - plus if anyone has any other ideas, let's put them on the table as well.

Option 1 = Pretty much a loop-de-loop picking up the Stove Prairie Road, part of CO-14 (Poudre Canyon), Rist Canyon and part of the road around Horestooth. Probably catch lunch back in Loveland after the drive. Should only be about couple hour drive, plus any stops for pictures and kicking tires/telling lies.

Option 2 = A full blown run up the Poudre Canyon. Several scenic stops along the way. Figure lunch in Walden and then south to Granby. From there, most will likely head down US-40 and pick up I-70 back to Denver - or some may chose to make the drive over Trail Ridge and back down to Loveland and then head for home. This a pretty long drive - but I feel less fatiguing than the Bishop's Castle drive since there is more open space driving.

Options 3 through X = Let's hear them!!!

Oh yes - it would be GREAT to beat our new record of 20 S2000's!!!!

Very true, it just doesn't sound the same. My car doesn't go 200 MPH unless it falls out of an airplane.

Hey I'm am wondering if you guys do any large meet up's near the Fort Collins area. I'm from Kansas City and I come out to Ft Collins a few times a year to visit my dad. I think he'd get a real kick out of doing a meet up/drive. The ones in Kansas/Missouri are awesome, but don't compare to the drive I had in estes park. How often do you guys do large meet ups and then go driving? I was looking to maybe coming out some time in sept./october.

rod our northern director has a lot of drives up north. we can schedule a drive up north for you if you can give us an exact time frame that you will be here. we have about 8 members in the north. one couple comes from nebraska, one from wyoming, and all over the region.
