XM Radio in '04 S2000

I would assume they won't have a XM ready radio in Canadian cars - atleast not until the CRTC gets their heads out of their collective asses - no doubt the govt would see selling cars with XM capable radios as too tempting or something.
You can sign up with a US address - I had the chance to listen to XM on a long road trip starting up "north" and ending down close to the gulf of mexico - it's nice

I didn't ask if I could get a subscription with a Canadian address. I have one already.
I was wondering if I purchase an 04 S2K if I could get the XM add-on from the US or is the radio completely different from the Canadian model?

I have two actually. I purchased one in March of 2002 and registered it online using my Montana address. They charge $60 USD to my credit card every 6 months. The second radio was activated at a discounted rate of I think $7 per month. All you need is a US address.
Living in the middle of nowhere, XM is great!!!

I presume you will need the FM modulater add on. The kit will include everything you need to connect to your radio as well as an antenna. As far as reception, it's good in Southern Canada. I have been in Edmonton with it a few times and it seems to work fine there as well. The only thing I noticed was a terrestrial object that would normally not interefere with the radio here in Swift Current causes the unit to lose reception for a second in Edmonton. If you spend most of your time driving among large buildings, it won't work very well. But, if you have a clear view of the southern sky it works great. Good luck. Personally, I couldn't be without it now.
