Well, it is just gorgeous outside right now, the thermometer on my Slovo said 6*C. If my S2000 had tires that would work in that range, I'd be out there....hence my plan to get my Saab 900 Turbo up and running again, but on tires more suited to these 'intermediate' type conditions. Just need to snag a set of 'high performance' all season tires for that car...it'll certainly help take the edge off of driving the Slovo around all winter.

Only downer is that because of all the melting crap, the cars get really dirty really quickly!

Funny how 5* in March feels absolutely brilliant, but 5* in, say, September, feels like it's the end of the world....

Bottom line....who wants to drive a POS?
I would!

If funds permitted, I would much rather drive an ugly winter vehicle.....that is reliable.....then chance the S2K in an accident on icey roads.

Somewhat reliable winter car / truck = $3000

Cost of a good accident, which may not be your own fault = $3500 +

Sure insurance would cover the cost, but then if its your fault your insurance rates are spiked and the value of your car decreases substantially once in an accident.

Again, there is the possibility of chancing your beater in an accident, but who cares really if you rack that thing up? Replacement = $3000 or even much less to fix. That or its written off and you get insurance money to replace.

I just have the luxury of driving a new 4x4 so I dont need to buy a reliable cheap winter beater. even if i didnt have the truck, i WOULD buy something else for winter months. Thats just me.

I heard you took it out today when I picked up my Mugen lip. The idea inspired me to take mine for a quick rip to the 7-11. haha.
