UPS delivered tires to my house today...but no one was home...so they just left them at the front door! Thankfully they were still there when someone got home at then end of the day.

And I wonder what would happen if they weren't there when someone got home? You'd never know they were ever delivered and just keep waiting until you couldn't stand it anymore and called the seller. Then you have to go back to the tire seller and make them duke it out with UPS while you sit helplessly waiting.
