UPS Boycott

UPS Boycott
My daughter ordered a cellphone from Rogers. Rogers used UPS, much to the objection of my daughter. UPS delivered the package to her next door neighbour and left a note on her door. Well, those next door neighbours are shit-heads and are unapproachable. The police have even been called to attend to an incident. No way are my daughter or her husband is going to go to the neighbour's door. I'd go but then, I'd have to kill them.
She called UPS and they said that they are authorized to deliver the package to ANY address as long as the package is signed for and there isn't much they can do. What utter BULLSHIT!
Rogers has contacted UPS to say that they are NEVER to leave a package with anyone or any address except what is on the label. UPS is stalling.
Lesson .....................................
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANY BUSINESS WHO MUST USE UPS.

My kid won't go next door. The guy is a known wife beater and a drunk.

Wow, that's insane! I generally hate UPS because they rape you with brokerage charges when receiving shipments from the US.... but wow, this is excessive! If it can be delivered anywhere, what's the point of an address on the package!?

ups does suck.
i work for corp. fido and we started using UPS those ****ers(since the rogers buyout). whenever i am setting up for something to be shipped up, they dont even pick up my package from my store. it takes them like a whole day to pick it up even if they are around. the only time they actually pick up my package is when they call it in/ then they tell me i dont need to call in they will just pick it up
and my deleveries on the phones are just hassle especailly when my phones are for a certain day to come and expressed to be there before 10am and they come at noon.
but one thing i know is that Fido still uses Purolater for deliveries for customers cause they never had a problem with them losing phones or mishandled phones.
i understand your rage xviper.. at least these things you dont do every week i have these things every single week i complain how BAD UPS is

I ship stuff on a near-daily basis, and only use FedEx. They are awesome! Always on time, always reliable, never any bullshit fees. One time, they didn't pick up a package on time for a 2 day delivery, so I called them, and they picked it up the next day, sent it overnight priority, and delivered it for free.
I've only dealt with UPS once, and it was a complete f**k-up. I ordered a shiftknob off of a vendor here, and they used UPS to ship. It took 1 month for the package to arrive, they delivered it to the post office instead of my house, and I had to pay $30 in duties, fees and taxes. With FedEx, I would have had the knob in 2 days, delivered to my house, without having to pay a dime!
A few of my buddies are pilots, and one of the first jobs you usually get after being an instructor, is flying Cargo Planes. From everything I have heard, FedEx has a 99.3% approval rate as far as packages being delivered on time. When shipments miss their delivery time, people actually get fired over it! Can you imagine if this happened with UPS?
