I guess there are some ers roaming around at the calgary zoo parking lot, targeting some cars

We were at the zoo on monday between 11:30 am and 2 pm. Drove my gf's mom's 90 accord. I had a gut feeling about the parking lot so I took out the face plate of the mp3 deck and put it in the glove compartment.

Came back to the car at 2 pm and when I open the door and look inside, glove compartment was opened. MP3 deck missing. They even took my waist pouch which only has my sunglasses in there (they probably thought there's money in there without checking first). Our luggages in the trunk got searched by those thugs but nothing was taken.

Other than that, some visible damage to the passenger side door lock. Filed a report with the cops.

ers like that deserve a big beating

Sorry to hear that, good thing it wasn't the S.

I was at the zoo a few weeks ago and parked the S there, was scared a bit but guess those goofs weren't there.

That Zoo lot is notorious for car prowlings. I typically park at a secure lot downtown and ride the LRT in.

Not to berate any local forums or such, but often such local on-line venues have an unusual quantity of stereo equipment for sale. Keep your eyes peeled for what may be yours.

Good luck!

That north lot at the zoo has always been bad. If I must park there, I've always prefered the south lot across the bridge or the west lot close to the entrance if there is a stall available.
