Default Pics of my new CSX!

Picked up the car late last night from Northwest Acura. Really impressed with basically every aspect of the car, it even has decent punch to it. The shifter is about the only mechanical portion of the car that could use some refinement.

Nice! Used to have a black EL (1.6) I think a CSX might be on the list for summer.

Dylan,

Looking good! How do you like the steeply raked windshield? It certainly took some getting used to on the test drive. A novel approach to a luxurious compact sedan nonetheless.

Dylan, looks great!

Why didnt you opt for the paddle shifters though?

Because I hate automatic transmissions, especially on cars with no power... if they were real paddle shifters (clutchless manual), I would have went for it! But at the same time that would have put the car up in a price bracket that I could not justify for a second car.

Asif- I really don't mind the windshield much now. I do, however... HATE those stupid triangular mirrors in front of the doors.

After having the car for a couple of days now, here are some of the things I really like and dislike about it

The Good:
Navigation - The navi system works really well. Even in Red Deer, it lists gas stations, restaurants, etc. I got nervous when the salesman told me red deer wasn't mapped yet. (It is, but its missing some of the newer roads... the road my townhouse is on isn't on the map yet).

Leather - the leather quality in this car is really quite suprising for the price. I also like the fact that they *didn't* perforate it. Makes it look much classier.

Gauges - I like how the gauges work. Easy to read, and the blue looks nice. I like how the temp. and oil life gauges are all integrated into the odometre display.

Handling - Has a sporty ride to it. A bit harsh, but I don't mind giving up some comfort to be able to still drive the car hard in the corners.

Trunk space - This thing has a great sized trunk. 3.5 dead bodies in there, at least!

Storage bins - There are storage bins everywhere in this car. I don't even have enough stuff to fill them all. I also like the slidable arm rest.

Back seats - Lot's of room for people in the back, and the centre armrest is a nice touch.

The bad

Shifter - The shifter needs a lot of work. One of the poorest shifters I've seen in a modern Honda. If I mod this car, a short shifter will likely be one of the mods I do.

Audio - The speakers in this car are not very good. I am going to be upgrading these at some point in the future, I'm sure.

Head rests - these are just really not that comfortable. I'd have preferred more of a sport seat with a non-adjustable headrest... IE: seats like the RSX.

HID's - Great, but I wish they were projectors

Tires - Eagle ****ing RSA's - enough said.

Overall I'm really happy with it! It drives very smooth, but definitely feels sluggish unless you get on it a bit.

Congrats Dylan, nice car. Looks like a 4 door SRX type S. If seats are the same, watch out for wear/tear of the side bolsters.
Happy motoring,

Mike
