OOP inspection - daytime running lights
Hi guys, I have a question in regards to installing a DRL module to pass the OOP inspection. My car is a 2004 and the seller gave me a Hamsar 45020 module which he claims he used to pass before. Now this module is recommended for 2000-2003. I am dumb when it comes to wiring.
-Do you wire up the low beams (hid) or the high beams to be the DRL?
-Has anyone done this on a 2004/2005?
-If someone in Edmonton has the correct module I could use for OOP I would be willing to rent it off you.
Thanks in advance.

No one has done this? I tried wiring up this module today but I dont believe it is the correct one for s2000. It sends reduced power to low beam (which is HID) and all it does is make it flicker. Willing to pay for someone to make DRL work for me this week as I want to get OOP done. Help?

I tapped the red/blue wire right on the high beam plug (it has 2 wires running to it). For some reason it must be connected to the low beam cause when I run power to the module it made the low beam flicker. My wiring knowledge is at all time low so this is why I would love to talk to someone that has done this before.

Unfortunately, I've never done it myself. My car is a US car from California originally, but when I bought it (after it was owned by someone in Ontario, then Calgary) it did not have anything DRL related on it.

Warrenw (not sure if he's here but I know he's on nsxprime) has done a few DRL jobs on NSX's for the locals.. you can see if he can lend a hand.

Thanks for the advice but I ended up going with Ryan from 12Volt Wizard. It was cheap and he didn't use the modules - just wired under the dash. Now I can enable/disable DRL by pulling 1 fuse. Highly recommend him for anyone looking to do this mod.

good advice refresh! how much did he charge ?
I'm over in Kelowna, just got an '04, and was going to do alavigne's set up, but I want a clean look too, so may do an impromptu/temp setup to pass federal regs, and then change over to oem-like setup. Does yours have OEM function
i.e.: 60% big beams with ignition on, which turn of when you turn the low beam headlights on? any change in functionality of the dash/interior lights?
