Looking at Used S2000???
Hi,
I am planning on looking at two used S2000's this week-end. Both are '01's. Is there anything specific to the S2000 that I should look for? I have bought quite a few used cars so I think I have a good idea of what I am doing, but thought I'd ask the board for anything out of the ordinary with these cars. What would a fair price be for an '01 be in good condition, low km's? I have the black book value for one as of Oct 1/03, but I know that these cars hold their value so well, so I don't know if it applies. Thanks in advance. Looking forward to joining the club soon here in Edmonton

If you're going to drive it in the winter (many of us do), I would suggest getting an '02 for the glass rear window unless you plan on also getting a hardtop. Brushing the snow off a plastic window will scratch it plus you will need a rear defroster.
If you still want an '01, make sure all the TSB's have been performed. Make sure it has quality (ideally OEM) rubber on it.
I'm sure xviper can add plenty to this.
Good luck!

Well, I think Woodson covered it pretty well. It sounds like you know how to shop for a used car and how to get it checked out. Just make sure the previous owner didn't use his car incorrectly and fried the clutch already. The rest, you or your mechanic can figure out as with any used car.

If you want to get one checked out, pm me, I am my dealership's S2k guy.
I wonder if I know the owners. A little info on which ones you're looking at? Owner's first names, colour, etc.
