Hi,

Just to let you know, there are some HUGE differences between an '01 and '02.

The way to look at this car when shopping for it is that

00-01 are virtually the same, other than some minor changes
02-03 are the same, but they add a glass rear window, better stereo/tweeters, etc

I think the glass rear window alone is worth going for an '02.

Thanks for the replies! Now, does anyone know of someone selling an '01 or '02?? I can deal with the plastic window is the price is right, lol.

The 02 also has suspension geometry changes to reduce the rear from stepping out, as well transmission changes to help prevent the 2nd gear grind.

Gees I've had no issue with grinding in a year 2000! As for the stereo I was just out in a 2006 and can honestly say the improvement is marginal.

I should have said higher potential to grind 2nd in the 00s and 01s.
As for rear speakers, they are nice but they dominate the hearing too much coming from the rear.

I don't mind anything from 00-02 as long as the price is right! Somebody MUST know of someone looking to sell..

Saving for S2K

Hi,

I have an '01 S2K in New Formula Red. The car has 11,000KM on it. Others on the board can vouch for it's condition. Car was bought new in Lethbridge, sold by Matrix Auto in Calgary to me. I have had the car for 2+ years and have hardly used it. The car has both OEM front and rear spoilers + OEM car cover + 3M tape on hood. Otherwise it is stock. Back window is great.
