Had a lovely time meeting most of the people who came! And it was the first time I drove Highway 1A too. Nice! Narrow, but fun. Reminds me a bit of the old highway between Banff and Lake Louise.
My fiancee and I stayed in Canmore for the night, and taking the day off today too to chill out and have a leisurely drive home.
Calgary comes to Edmonton next time? We Edmonton folk will have to think of a nice driving route to match 1A!

Anything within Edmonton is going to be too crowded, IMHO.

especially with the multi-car patrols.
And it was the first time in memory that the laser portion detected when i was actually getting painted by a laser gun (as opposed to being set off by the LED tail lights on an Escalade)

I was a bit nervous when I first spotted that cop! I figured some yahoo had called 911 saying that he spotted a dozen sportscars racing around the city! I was ready to make a speech about our right of assembly and how we weren't breaking any laws.... 
Big sigh of relief when the cop turned off!
Another funny thing happened when we were leaving Cochrane. Two guys had come by to look at all the S2000s parked together, and the guy asked me, incredulously, "Why are all these cars the same type?" I'm thinking "Dude, we're just getting together and hanging out! Never seen a bunch of car enthusiasts together before?!?" but I just told him we were just hanging out. Doh.
