Default Good Restaurants in Calgary?

Hey guys,

I'm gonna be in Calg this week on business and I really don't want to go cause of the company I'll be with. Well, the way I figure it, if they are forcing me to go, I'm gonna expense and live a king on the company's expense!

Having said that, can anyone let me know of some real high class restaurants for the evening?

I'm gonna make sure they never send me out again! At least with the company I'm going down with.

High class, eh? I guess Boston Pizza is out, then?

"High class" may not necessarily mean "good".
Have a look at:
La Caille
Hy's Steak House
Caesar's Steak House
Calgary Tower
The Westin Calgary
or go to a Dinner Theatre to set them back a few bucks.

BTW, some of these may require a suit and tie. Phone and ask.

Thank you all for you suggestions, my company will not know what hit them

Asif, I'd be down for Tandoori hut for sure. I moved to Edm from Toronto a couple of years back and man do I miss good Indian food! Edm sucks for that.

Only stipulation is I only eat Halal, do you think Tandoori Hut is halal?

Thanks,

Given that Tandoori Hut is owned by a Sikh family, I highly doubt that their meat dishes are Halal. That said, the Veggie dishes are just as delicious!

Good luck!

So what's the diff between Tandoori and Halal? What is Halal?

I had "regular" east indian food...i dunno what that is considered.

And I had Tandoori..don't really like it.

Halal is a religious requisite for devour Muslims. Much like Kosher food for Jews, true Muslims can only consume meat which has been prayed on (not preyed on ) prior to it's butchering.
