friend looking to buy an S2000
If anyone has one for sale, or knows of one in the $15k range, do let me know. A friend of mine is keen to buy one in that price range.

Car forums are the worst possible places to find a used car. The seller usually has a way over-inflated price. The link above is the perfect of example of that.
Here's one that's a year newer, has 110,000 (!) few km's on it and has a hard top.
Edit: link would help...

I think this one is FormerH22a4's car?

If Woodson linked to something, it's not there. If he's referring to a yellow '01 with hardtop, my friend looked at that one already and decided to pass. Engine didn't feel or sound healthy, unfortunately.
And he's actually already looked at the one posted on 780, don't think he's too keen on the carbon stuff.
