Default Floor Mats

Asif, Tim, any word on doing custom floor mats thing? I am pretty sure they will be cheaper than Ricks.

Yeah, I'd really like to get this done here in town. Not willing to pay $800 CDN for mats.

Okay folks,

Just called Cascade vans and interiors. They seem like a friendly enough bunch. The rep there told me that they can use whatever material we like to make the mats in whatever colour. He stated that most people go with nylon, or a nylon/cotton blend which resembles wool, but is essentially your regular residential style carpet. We're looking at prices of around $150/per pair. If we want wool, he stated that it would be "expensive" at around $200-$250 per pair, which IMO is still reasonable.

Embroidery is an option, but would be an extra cost. An exact quotatation is obviously not avail. since the rep would have to see exactly how much work is needed.

I suggested that we may need a few pairs, and asked for a discount of somesort. The rep did not seem too opposed to the idea, and suggested that we should go down there and meet with him.

I think the best idea is to round a few of us up together, and go down to Cascade to actually meet with the guys there, and show them what we want. I'm guessing that the quotation will change somewhat, when they realize that they have to accomodate those lovely "lumps" we have in front of the seats.

What do you all think? I have seen their work, and quality is unmatched. Prices seem reasonable also.

Let me know your thoughts.

Yeah, that sounds good. When would you like to do this?
Thanks for checking into this.

Tim,

Do you have any time off during the week at all? I believe that Cascade is closed on the weekends. I was thinking Friday, but let me know what works best for you.
Cheers
Asif
PS-I work nights this week, so during the day any day would really be ok.

Thanks for checking that out Asif
I can meet you guys on Friday after 3:00pm to go to this place. Dang, I had the day off today too, should have asked sooner

The prices seems reasonable. With all the options like wool and adding a logo, we're still way below Rick Prices. We should market our own mats

My schedule this time of year is pretty flexible. I might not be able to make it Friday afternoon though - I should know later today.

I was thinking the same thing. 3pm Friday sounds great. Where did you want to meet? I know that Cascade is located in the NE.
Let me know

Oh, I can meet you there at 3:00 or so. What time are they open until? We might need a copy of the Dave's Muz Mats or can they take the measurements themselves?

Danny,

They are open till 5pm and don't need a template. I guess they can take the measurements themselves. I don't have a phone book handy, but if I recall they are on 12 st N.E.

I will meet you there @ 3pm
Cheers
Asif
PS-Tim if you can come along, that would be great also.
