edmonton grand prix
I am really looking forward to going to the champ car race in edmonton july 15-17 but i thought i would share with you the ordeal in getting the tickets. Bought the tickets in dec /04 and was told then that in april i will be notified of when i can select my seats. I receieved a letter dated march 14 saying that the earliest i could get to select the seat i wanted was today from 3-4 p.m at kingsway garden mall in edmonton. When i get there they tell me that i can pick up my actual tickets sometime in early june at rexall place. I am from the old school that when you plunk down your money you get your ticket but hey patience will pervail and i will enjoy what i paid for. Anybody else going?

We're planning on heading up for it, not sure how many people total, might end up flying in as I'd heard they were keeping a runway open there even with the race.
Haven't bought tickets yet, but very soon once we get # of ppl nailed down. Site says 18,000 of 42,000 sold I think? Was still lots of gold ones left when I checked last.

You'll be flying in into the International airport, which is about 15 min from the south end of Edmonton. The race will be at City Centre airport, right snapped dabbed in the city. Two different premises.
I think that's what you're getting at

Hmm, what does flying in and keeping the runway open has anything in common?

If you're stuck flying commercial, then you're right about ending up at international.
