I've seen the 1 series hatch too, a few months ago. I think it was a one off import, maybe for testing duties. Looked like it had a European plate on it. Or perhaps someone brought it into the country for an extended visit...but for sure, it is a genuine 1 series. I was disgusted by how ugly it looked! (the coupe's much better looking).

No hatchback here?? WTF? Are car companies EVER going to learn that the Canadian market is NOT the US market? I don't care that Americans don't like hatchbacks... I know there is a demand for them in Canada. Honda made the same mistake by not bringing the euro civic hatch over here.
