Default Alberta Government $$$ Bonuses

Cheques in the amount between $100 - $300 will be distributed to "Albertans" ...and then most of us will pay it back in taxes, Federal and Provincial, netting according to our tax bracket. What a joke !

I've never received any cheques from the government. None of the energy rebate ones, or anything.

I guess I make too much money.

Yeh, but they called it "bonus", i.e. Taxable income, isn't it ?

Hehehhe, wouldn't that be a sonnabitch. The government raised that money through taxes. They give it back to us, and tax us on it?? I sure hope not.

Chris.

Kind of like the tax on tax you're charged at the pump.
