I'm buying one, going to give up the 330Ci for it. Some of you guys are going to laugh but the one change they made is the only thing I ever wanted from this car, TRACTION CONTROL. Everything else I'm cool with. I'll be back in the club in no time!

If VSA is like most systems where you cannot fully shut it off, it'll be a nice system when its in the "off" mode. Allows you to drive agressive and only intervenes when you get really out of control.

White is an excellent choice in color

We don't need any stinkin' traction or stability control.
People should take a performance driving course, better way to spend money and improve your overall driving.

Personally, too many electronic aids ruins the rawness and "driving characteristics" of the original concept.

Amen to that.

Hell, I've driven this car with the stock tires in 3 inches of snow. It can be done.

I really disliked the DBW throttle on my TSX and am grateful my S has the traditional throttle cable. The VSA did it's thing fairly uneventfully on the TSX but is it necessary on a car like the S2000 ?? I think Honda is watering the S2000 down. I guarantee you Honda would sell a boat load more S2000's if they offered the option of a hardcore (lighter, more powerful, kinda like the 911 GT3) Type R version and not a heavier VSA equipped car.

Everytime I get into my S2000 I have to remember that it doesn't have some form of stability control as a result I find myself concentrating on the task of driving. When I drive BMW's or MB's etc with such devises I'd classify my driving as sloppy and carefree.
I believe part of the fun of the S2000 is that sense of responsibility that come with driving the car. It's completely up to the driver to control the outcome.
I sure hope the S2000 has not become another computer controlled sports car.

I had DBW and VSA in the TSX that I traded in for the S2k. I always had it switched off for auto-x, because it can actually hinder your driving under those circumstances. The good thing is when it's turned off, it really is turned completely off.

I found that the DBW had a "numb" feeling to it. The resistance on the pedal was the same throughout the entire range of motion and I'm not sure if I liked that. I actually prefer the cable throttle I have now in the S2K. However, I think DBW suits luxury sedans well.

The only time I would use VSA was in the winter and it was VERY useful then. Since the S2K will be my all-year round driver, I do kinda wish it had it just for the winter. Although, it turns on by default, so it would've been kinda annoying to have to turn it off everytime I started the car in the summer.

Overall though, I think the 06 is good, but I'm not sad or anything that I have a 05 instead.
