'01 buyback anyone?
I didn't know if I needed to post this in the FS forum, if so I apologize and will remove this and post it there.
Unfortunately this SS AP1 met it's end. I have been offered a buyback of 2,425.37 and will let another forum member purchase it if they wish. I am not going to buy it as I don't have the room to part it. I have the car parked in an airplane hangar so if you are interested in seeing it, we'll have to arrange a time. Please PM me for questions and concerns and we will swap numbers.
2001 Honda S2000
184,000
Runs and drives
Lots of maintenance: I have a very recent oil analysis that states the motor is in great shape. Good compression in all cylinders.
-Engine oil and filter
-Coolant
-Brake Fluid
-Clutch Fluid
-Transmission Fluid
-Differential Fluid
-Injector cleaning from Witchhunter less than 5k miles ago
-New transmission output bearings (all three) and seals
-New OEM air filter
-New OEM cabin air filter
-New OEM keys
Has Viper 5901 Alarm
Has AP2 struts with Tein S-Tech springs
Interior is in good shape.

I apologize if this thread isn't allowed Manga Spawn, feel free to delete. Technically it's mine. I have the title and they haven't paid me.

Wow, that thing is demolished. How'd you roll it over?
Looks like you can save a door, gas cap, one taillight, the 3rd brake light, one headlight maybe, the wheels, and the interior, drivetrain and suspension.
With that many miles on the motor... kinda curious how much you'd realistically make from flipping the car.
$2k for motor/trans?
$400 for seats?
$200 for diff?
$200 for wheels/tires?
Looks like you'd get the buyback money back, but the rest is gonna be small value bits and ends.
I got the space, but no money to buy it from you.. good luck.

Most importantly, thank goodness you are presumably ok--it certainly looks like a serious accident! I've heard that the S2000 has a reinforced
windshield frame, which looks like it may have helped protect you despite taking a serious beating.
Glad to hear it is covered under insurance. I was nearly in your situation a month ago as I had pretty bad damage to the front side of my car, though it was much more repairable as the rest of the car was untouched. After a full month of waiting and thinking the car was likely totaled, however the insurance company decided to go ahead and let the car be repaired.
Just as Spets said, I don't think anyone would make much in the way of profit from parting the car out, so unless someone is looking for an
engine/transmission you may be best off just collecting the money from insurance. Good luck, and I hope your insurance company gives you a fair amount for another car to take its place.
