Zeal Super Function coilover's installed!
I was just visiting A&J on Tuesday, and wanted to buy some lowering springs because I thought the car looked like it was on stilts. It was getting to me. And to my surprise, they had a set of Zeal Super Function coilovers!!
Darwin's quote was, "they're 14.0 kg/mm. its more than 3 times stiffer than your factory setup and also the solid metal pillar block instead of the rubber bushing. I remember when I had H&R coilover's on my TT, and they were only 1.5 times the factory setup, and it was harsh! I think it will be too much for the street". (Boy, was he wrong)
I thought he was being a worry wart. Stiffer is better. Always, in my opinion. And I knew they would be better than his H&R's. Stiffer than his, but just better over the bumps. I just knew the zeal coilover's were the one's that Ruby wanted.
Here the pics:
ZB6 coilover's on the left. Super Functions on the right. Notice the solid pillar block on the super function.
The side view of the pillar block. Surprisingly, the suspension is super compliant, and is not harsh at all.
Left rear of the super function's on Ruby. Doesn't it suit her well?!
Left front of Ruby.
Ruby front b4.
Ruby front after, kept her pretty high so she doesn't scrape her front lip
Ruby back b4. Doesn't she look like she could go under water?
Ruby back after. She's not wearing floods (pants) anymore....
Ride is just 6 way adjustable shock dampening, super light weight, 6 lbs per corner. Darwin says ride is impressive, its over 3 times stiffer than stock setup. Corner's completely flat.
That's all folks.

o.k. Christy - now I REALLY want to see Ruby aka the HelloKitty mobile. You guys guys slipped out of Tacos!
Nice meeting you. Give me a ride next time I see you - I haven't decided on what coilovers will ultimately replace the kg/mms...
