Default wheel question, please look and give input

ok, so i needed 1 front wheel so i could drive this weekend, but i couldnt source one in time, so i borrowed my friends prelude wheels. the tires are a little smaller (205/50 R16) but not so much for me to worry about. however, i encounted a snag while trying to install the wheels on my car.

it looks like the hub center on the s2000 is slightly larger than the one on the prelude wheel. what this results in is about 5mm of space between the hub and the wheel. do you think this is ok to drive on? i'm assuming there will be more stress placed on the wheel threads, since all the weight of the car will be on them instead of on the hub.

ive driven with prelude sh wheels on before, for a good amount of time as well, and nothing bad happened then, but i dont remember if this gap existed when i did that. most likely it did, as ive seen prelude sh's with the stock prelude wheels, vice versa.

common sense tells me its a bad idea, but the urge to drive the car is overwhelming that right now. opinions please.

mike

I wouldn't drive it like that. The studs will have far more leverage put on them than they are designed for and you could end up losing a wheel at speed and hurting or killing yourself or someone else...

Mike,
I agree with brant... not a good idea to mount wheels that do not sit on the hub. I have some stock wheels I'd be happy to let you borrow if you're in need.

I've seen mine. It's depressing to look at, though.
