WHat the torque spec on the s2k wheel nuts

Being a engineer-type geek, I go to 80 on the torque wrench and then back off to about 79.6 ft-lb. (Of course it's only supposed to be accurate to +/- 4%, which works out to +/- about 3 ft-lb, but the little ritual is comforting.)

haha thanks.. i did 75 once.. coz on my previous civic.. it was 4 nuts.. so it requires 80
i thought 5 nuts required less... ok..t hanks.. will give each a 80 pounds torque

Ya know, I have never used a torque wrench on lug nuts. I have never snaped a stud or lost a nut. I have had a wheel come off on me. The falling wheel wasn't from not torquing, it was from a brain on a '68 Bug, a long time ago.

Proper way of torquing is an important factor as well. I do my RSX 5 lugs with 80 lb/ft. making sure I draw star, torque lug nuts while wheel is in the air. I really don't think it makes huge difference, but that's how tire guys at Costco do.
