And it's well taken care of. I tried taking it to West Hills since I live out here but they were no help. They wont even talk to you unless you are making an apointment. I have always been well taken care of at Burien Honda. Which guy were you? I think I saw Mike pull in as I was leaving.

No it doesn't change sound when I rev. I have tried reving up, shifting, clutch in and out, braking to see if it changes the sound and nothing does. The only thing that changes the sound is speed.
So what it would seem then is that it would be isolated to drive train components that are not under power since this has no change or effect, just movement. Which thinking about this would be one of the fallowing...

-wheel bearings

-rear diff slip yokes, cv joint, clutching mechanism

- transmission input bearing/shaft? or would this be disengaged out of gear?

- pilot bearing?

- brake pads/discs -- are they slotted or dimpled?

- drive shaft would make noise only under power, would slow down out of gear and stop eventually.

Did I miss anything?

I personally didn't work on the car. From what I heard was the secondary output shaft bearings. Makes sense since it's constantly spinning when moving.

Ya it was the secondary output shaft bearings, replaced 3 of them. Turns out they were pitted and they were'nt sure why. Only 40,000 miles on the car. Honda ended up paying half the bill for me. Thanks Honda

I checked it out and it was overheating the race. One of the bearings was bad the other two slight pitts. You track your car?

Never have taking it to the track. Don't know why it would have gotten to hot. Fluid level was good.
