I did a cool hike not too far from Victoria, there was also a little trail to climb up beside a waterfall...
can't remember the place but Victoria's visitors center should be a great place to start with questions.

Little Qualicum Falls about 20 km west of Parksville is pretty nice, but might be kind of cold this time of year. Long Beach on the west coast of the island by Tofino is quite nice too, but would also probably be a little chilly this time of year. And then, there's the famous Goats on the Roof "attraction" in Coombs
