Does anyone have personal suggestions on things to do and see up there? My peeps at work say I should go to Victoria instead.

Both are quite beautiful... BTW, I flew one of those 737 simulators a few years ago (older model I would think).

If you go to Vancouver try to make your way to Gas Town one night. Lots of cool bars if thats your thing.

Not sure how I'd feel about parking the S anywhere in that part of town, though.

^^^lol, I could agree to that.

How about visit Whistler, the new sea-to-sky highway is supposed to be really nice. How long are you coming for?

The Sea-to-Sky Highway is really nice, but was still kinda rough when I went up to Whistler in April. Not sure how much further along they've gotten since then, since I thought I heard that it wasn't going to be done in time for the Olympics. Definitely is a beautiful drive, though, and would be quite a bit of fun not in my pickup.

Chinese food in Richmond. In fact I go up there almost every month just for that.

If you catch a nice sunny day, take a trip to West Vancouver, through Stanley park, then you will be at Capilino. (these 2 and gas town are must go tourist spot) if you not into that, skip it, go to the upper level highway (which is 1a/99) then take the road up to Cypress Provincial Park. That's a nice short road that has some really great hairpins. They have a viewing point that is really cool to see the coast and the surrounding islands.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm just going for the day but might possibly stay over night if the day gets long. I was leery about taking the S but I'm doing it anyway. Slowv6's suggestions sound interesting.
