GE quoted the same progressive quoted me (insweb), and that was the only quote i received.

Removing 1 of 2 tickets yielded more results, no tickets yielded quite a few more.

I got pulled over on the I90 express lane a few days ago, wasnt even trying to speed, and now im going to be paying for it for the next 3 years.

Well sonny, back in my day, we had to walk up hill both ways, naked, to get insurance......
Back when I was 24 years old, had me two Porsche's (needed two if you wanted to drive one as a daily driver) and Nationwide was by far the cheapest. Pretty exhaustive search back then to come up w/ Nationwide but don't know how they compare now.
I use AMEX now for the S2000 and the M3 and it's easily 20% cheaper than the quotes I got from Geico, Allstate or Progressive. Keep in mind, it's all a mathematical gambling deal for them, so you need to find the Company that penalizes the least for your perceived weaknesses (risk). In your particular case, your screwed anyway you look at it; young, single, male, high value car, newer car, tickets, accidents, not garaged ...... the only things you got going for you are the relatively low miles driven annually and good location.
Your screwed, better get that '74 Corolla and mod the sh!t out of it

Too bad you couldn't use the money you are saving to replace those ghetto wheels you are rolling on.

Also, insurance companies use your credit score to determine your "responsibility level". If you haven't had a good long credit history or have taken any hits on your credit that can hurt you too. (Note: If your calling around getting quotes your credit score will take a temporary hit/drop each and every time one of them does a credit check on you. My credit score dipped just below 800 while insurance shopping at the same time I was getting my home loan. The bank pointed it out to me. But it did come back up a few weeks later.) The Seattle Times had an article about this issue a few weeks ago.

Look for multiline policy discounts too. Even as an old fart I've found it is cheaper for me to buy a life insurance policy and auto insurance than to get just auto insurance. Getting the life policy improved my "responsibility level" score since I'm still single.
