Here's a newsflash for you. Alfa Club is allowing factory roll hoops at Bremerton. Cost is $90 bucks for the April 16th event.

http://nwalfaclub.com/events.html

click on April 16

"Open cars that have an aftermarket rollbars must have the rollbars securely mounted such that it extends above the driver's (and passenger's) helmet and has a diagonal cross-brace. This year at Bremerton we are allowing cars that have factory roll hoops that may not be above the drivers heads. No 5-point systems will be allowed in these vehicles and a wavier must be signed by the driver."

Speedware is hosting three events at Pacific Raceways on Friday, April 30, Wednesday, June 16, and Thursday, September 23. Cost is $150 per day.

Just wanted to pass it on; this post doesn't constitute endorsement of Speedware or its events. See http://speedwaremotorsports.com/events for more info.

BTW, I won't be going up to Mission on the 7th. Even if the car is back by then, I don't think the finances will allow it.

BMWCCA (Puget Sound Region) changed their convertable rules. Yes, I know I'm the only one here who has been taking my S to these events, but the reason they changed is to match up with the CCA national policy. Which means we may see Spokane do the same thing.

The BMWCCA national policy requires convertables must have fixed roll protection (leaves it as a local option whether it must be a full SCCA-type roll bar) AND 5- or 6-point harnesses. In other words, the S2K roll hoops are OK but only if you have full harnesses for driver and passenger.

I haven't checked to see if Scott and the Spokane people are going to implement the same thing, but if this is coming from their national org they may have to.

Has anyone put 6-point harnesses into their S without adding a roll bar and race seats?

Just started updating with 2005 events.

Please PM me or start a new thread if you find any errors or know of any events that S2000 drivers can participate in that I've missed.

If you're thinking of going to an event or have a question about an event, please start a new thread for discussion. I'll link from the schedule to your thread.

Thanks,

Ted
