What he said.

It wasn't new or fancy, just well driven. Something to keep in mind before you guys go mod crazy trying to make it to a podium.

Speaking of mod crazy, does anyone know what was in that orange civic driven by the winner of FWD?

Sorry Alfonso. I couldn't hear you over the sound of the Yellow Civic running a straight pipe.

LMAO the orange one was pretty nasty sounding too, but it was actually fast.

I don't know what was up with the RHD EK, but a K-series with ITB's should not be that sluggish or sound like it's only got 3 cylinders running. I don't know the owner, but I do know the owner of the Gunmetal EK. It's also got a K and ran like an EK w/a K should run.. much faster. I'd be worried if my car was as slow as the yellow one.

One of our forum members pushed a Civic SI around the track for a high 1:13 last year. I have a feeling the Civic brigade left a lot of time on the table last Friday.

I feel a number of drivers were taking it relatively easy. From my vantage point no more than feet away from the cars, it was really obvious who was fully committed to turns or hard on the throttle. You probably don't want to read too deep into everyone's laptimes. Except for a handful of drivers, very few were driving above 7/10th's. Which is totally fine. I'd rather see you all come out and have a good time instead of driving beyond the comfort level... even in a competition. Otherwise folks will blow turn 15 and end up in the grass.

Then again, with my tendency for crashes I might not be best person to comment on that last point.

or you could drive like i did the last two sessions, and be too aggressive, and just be slow as F#$%...

but atleast i was having fun. i was 0.8 seconds off of my target goal of 1:19.XXX on the CCW full course.

It has a mildly built B16, around 180whp with absolutely no torque. It was open diff., being torn down right now though. He is a buddy of mine his name is Hector and was very surprised he had gotten first place. This was a great event and hope to compete in the next one. As for the yellow hatchback, we asked him if it was running on 3 cylinders. He said " Naw it has ITB's, thats how they sound". I left him at that but obviously something was very wrong with his tune.
