^ no they are going to start a "winter" series next month.
As for the rain, there was none, the track was dry from the first run, and i bested my previous time by about a half second. i did a 1:15.3xx. and was the fastest miata besides bundy.
Part of me still wishes that it had rained. i enjoy running pgp in the wet. the down side is that someone almost certainly would have pushed too hard and hit one of the barriers.

Yeah, it was an almost perfect day weather wise. Warm enough to be comfortable, not sweating your balls off hot.
Nice job - 1:15.3 is awesome for a N/A Miata.
One note for those who plan on doing future car events @ PGP, including lapping days (next one 9/22) or lap attack (I think I heard Sunday October 10):
Effective after today you will not be allowed to run with antifreeze coolant. Water and WaterWetter are the only acceptable fluids in your cooling system. Start flushing bitches.

^ the only bad thing about using a water wetter setup is the possibility of freezing in the winter. Cooling systems are actually more efficient with water only vs 50/50 water /coolant.. withe the water wetter i can only assume that it would be even better.
Again, the biggest issue will be freezing, so make sure to get coolant back in it before winter.

I would be less worried about freezing (since it rarely gets that cold here) than about long term corrosion issues.

I think it's worth asking if they would be okay with a stricter tech inspection (check all coolant lines, check for any signs of coolant leaks, etc.) instead of strictly water/water-wetter. I'll shoot them an e-mail today after work.

^ those arfe good points. This will be a turn off, and they will definitly lose some bussines over it.
I too agree that tougher tech is needed especially for the drifters cause they are were the problem is.

The LeMons series doesn't even allow water wetter, but that makes sense - those are crap cars and there are collisions and wrecks. I wonder about a reasonable compromise - cars with completely stock engines can run coolant, modified/race/track cars need water only.
